A JOHNSON CITY MAN ACCUSED IN A HIT AND RUN ACCIDENT IS BEHIND BARS. 25 YEAR OLD JOSEPH JOYNER IS CHARGED WITH FILING A FALSE REPORT AND LEAVING THE SCENE OF AN ACCIDENT. THE CHARGES STEM FROM A HIT AND RUN THAT OCCURRED IN A PARKING LOT OF CAMPUS RIDGE APARTMENTS. THE CRASH CAUSED SEVERE DAMAGE TO TWO PARKED VEHICLES. JOYNER INITIALLY DENIED DRIVING THE CAR, BUT LATER ADMITTED TO BEING RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DAMAGE. JOYNER HAS A PRELIMINARY HEARING SCHEDULED FOR TOMORROW IN GENERAL SESSIONS COURT.
