AN ELIZABETHTON MAN IS FACING NUMEROUS CHARGES AFTER HE ALLEGEDLY MADE THREATS TOWARD ANOTHER PERSON AT A POPULAR LOCAL RESTAURANT. ACCORDING TO ELIZABETHTON POLICE, 32 YEAR OLD BRANDON BASS WAS ARRESTED FOLLOWING AN ALTERCATION AT APPLEBEE’S RESTAURANT ON OVERMOUNTAIN DRIVE. AFTER ALLEGEDLY BEING INVOLVED IN AN ALTERCATION WITH A WOMAN IN HIS PARTY, BASS WAS ASKED TO LEAVE THE ESTABLISHMENT. WITNESSES SAID BASS LEFT THE RESTAURANT, WENT TO HIS VEHICLE, RETURNING WITH A HANDGUN, AND POINTING IT IN A THREATENING MANNER. BASS WAS CHARGED WITH FIVE COUNTS OF AGGRAVATED ASSAULT, POSSESSION OF A HANDGUN WHILE UNDER THE INFLUENCE, DISORDERLY CONDUCT, AND RECKLESS ENDANGERMENT. HE IS SLATED TO APPEAR IN CARTER COUNTY GENERAL SESSIONS COURT ON NOVEMBER 14TH.
