A BRISTOL MAN HAS BEEN SENTENCED TO PRISON FOR SEXUALLY ABUSING FAMILY MEMBERS AND A FRIEND. 41 YEAR OLD ROBERT TIMOTHY DUTTON WAS CONVICTED IN AUGUST OF ELEVEN FELONY COUNTS INCLUDING INDECENT LIBERTIES WITH A MINOR, SODOMY, AGGRAVATED SEXUAL BATTERY AND INCEST. HE WAS ALSO CONVICTED OF CONTRIBUTING TO THE DELINQUENCY OF A MINOR WHICH IS A MISDEMEANOR. IN SENTENCING DUTTON TO 30 YEARS IN PRISON, JUDGE CHARLES FLANNAGAN RULED THAT DEVIATING ABOVE THE SENTENCING GUIDELINES IS WARRANTED AND JUSTICE REQUIRES IT. THE 30-YEAR SENTENCE IS CONDITIONAL ON DUTTON’S GOOD BEHAVIOR AND ENTRY INTO A REHABILITATION PROGRAM. LEAD PROSECUTOR KIM LOUCK SAID JUSTICE HAS BEEN SERVED.
