A FORMER TRI CITIES TEACHER HAS BEEN CHARGED BY GATLINBURG POLICE WITH CONTRIBUTING TO THE DELINQUENCY OF A MINOR. GREG WRIGHT, A FORMER MATH TEACHER AT DOBYNS-BENNETT HIGH SCHOOL IN KINGSPORT, RESIGNED ON SEPTEMBER 10TH. AT LEAST FOUR DB STUDENTS WERE UNDER HIS SUPERVISION WHEN THEY WERE ALLEGEDLY ALLOWED TO CONSUME ALCOHOL. HE’S FACING FOUR COUNTS OF CONTRIBUTING TO THE DELINQUENCY OF A MINOR WHICH IS A MISDEMEANOR. EACH COUNT IS PUNISHABLE BY FINES AND PROBATION, OR A MAXIMUM OF 11 MONTHS AND 29 DAYS IN JAIL. WRIGHT IS SET TO APPEAR IN SEVIER COUNTY GENERAL SESSIONS COURT ON NOVEMBER 26TH.
