A GREENEVILLE ATTORNEY HAS BEEN PUBLICLY CENSURED BY THE BOARD OF PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILY. FRANCIS SANTORE JR. DID NOT REQUEST A HEARING ON THE MATTER. ACCORDING TO A PRESS RELEASE, THE RESPONDENT HAD FILED SUIT IN A CASE ARISING FROM AN AUTOMOBILE COLLISION. AFTER THE DEFENDANT EVADED SERVICE OF PROCESS FOR SEVERAL MONTHS, THE RESPONDENT LEFT A VOICEMAIL MESSAGE ON THEIR PHONE. THE VOICEMAIL WAS ALLEGEDLY ANGRY AND EXPLETIVE-RIDDEN, INCLUDING A THREAT TO HAVE THE DEFENDANT ARRESTED AND COULD BE CONSTRUED AS THREATENING PHYSICAL HARM. A PUBLIC CENSURE IS A REBUKE AND WARNING TO THE ATTORNEY, BUT DOESN’T AFFECT THE ATTORNEY’S ABILITY TO PRACTICE LAW.
