TWO BRISTOL VIRGINIA MEN ACCUSED OF TRYING TO EXTORT MONEY FROM A MOUNTAIN CITY BUSINESSMAN ARE FACING FEDERAL CHARGES. 44 YEAR OLD JEFFREY SELL AND 47 YEAR OLD WILLIAM SELL ARE CHARGED WITH EXTORTION AFFECTING INTERSTATE COMMERCE, MAILING A THREATENING COMMUNICATION TO INJURE AN INDIVIDUAL, THEIR PROPERTY AND BUSINESS. AUTHORITIES SAID THE TWO MEN ALLEGEDLY SENT A LETTER TO BARTON MOUNT, PRESIDENT OF MAYMEADE CORPORATION IN MOUNTAIN CITY, DEMANDING MOUNT GIVE THEM 70-THOUSAND DOLLARS OR FACE HARM TO HIM, HIS FAMILY, HIS BUSINESS, AND HIS PROPERTY. THE PAIR IS SCHEDULED TO APPEAR FOR A DETENTION HEARING THURSDAY IN U.S. DISTRICT COURT IN GREENEVILLE.
