A FORMER OFFICER WITH THE TENNESSEE WILDLIFE RESOURES AGENCY HAD ADMITTED TO ILLEGALLY SELLING A GUN. 40 YEAR OLD VICTOR DEYTON PLED GUILTY IN UNICOI COUNTY CRIMINAL COURT YESTERDAY TO OFFICIAL MISCONDUCT AND FORGERY. HE SIGNED THE NAME OF A MAN ON A RECEIPT THAT HE HAD SEIZED A GUN FROM AND LATER RESOLD THE WEAPON. JUDGE LYNN BROWN ORDERED DEYTON TO SPEND 20 DAYS IN JAIL FOLLOWED BY FOUR YEARS OF SUPERVISED PROBATION. HE’LL ALSO RECEIVE JUDICIAL DIVERSION BECAUSE HE HAD NO PRIOR CRIMINAL RECORD.
