AN ELIZABETHTON MAN ACCUSED OF ASSAULTING AND ROBBING ANOTHER MAN IS BEHIND BARS. 18 YEAR OLD DEREK BROWN IS CHARGED WITH ATTEMPTED AGGRAVATED ROBBERY, AGGRAVATED BURGLARY, AND THREE COUNTS OF AUTO BURGLARY. A MAN TOLD POLICE HE WAS APPROACHED BY TWO WHITE MALES AND AS HE WAS SPEAKING TO ONE OF THEM, THE OTHER STRUCK HIM IN THE HEAD WITH A CROWBAR. BROWN AND A JUVENILE ALSO ALLEGEDLY BROKE INTO A HOME AND THREE VEHICLES ON MERCURY STREET. THE JUVENILE IS CURRENTLY BEING HELD IN THE JOHNSON CITY JUVENILE DETENTION CENTER AWAITING A HEARING WHILE BROWN IS CURRENTLY BEING HELD ON A 90-THOUSAND DOLLARS BOND IN THE WASHINGTON COUNTY TENNESSEE DETENTION CENTER AND WILL APPEAR IN GENERAL SESSIONS COURT MONDAY.
