THE BARTER FOUNDATION AND THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE HAVE REACHED A SETTLEMENT CONCERNING DISABILITY ACCESS TO THE BARTER THEATER IN ABINGDON VIRGINIA. AN INVESTIGATION AND COMPLIANCE REVIEW WAS SPARKED BY A COMPLAINT FROM THE APPALACHIAN INDEPENDENCE CENTER, A LOCAL ADVOCACY GROUP FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES.
