A TAZEWELL COUNTY VIRGINIA WOMAN WILL BE SPENDING A LONG TIME BEHIND BARS AFTER BEING CONVICTED OF FIRST DEGREE MURDER IN THE DEATH OF A LOCAL MAN. 32 YEAR OLD CHRYSTIE DAWN PATRICK WAS FOUND GUILTY OF FIRST DEGREE MURDER AND CONSPIRACY IN CONNECTION WITH TH MARCH 2005 MURDER OF 30 YEAR OLD MARK ANTHONY WITTEN. SHE WAS SENTENCED TO 40 YEARS IN PRISON AND WON’T BE ELIGIBLE FOR PAROLE UNTIL SHE IS 70. WITTEN’S BODY WAS DISCOVERED NEAR THE BORDER OF TAZEWELL AND SMYTH COUNTIES BY TWO PEOPLE WHO WERE PICKING UP CANS IN THE AREA. ANOTHER SUSPECT IN WITTEN’S DEATH, 26 YEAR OLD PATRICK GREENE OF TAZEWELL, WILL GO ON TRIAL FOR FIRST DEGREE MURDER ON OCTOBER 27TH.
