A FORMER DAMASCUS VIRGINIA POLICE CHIEF HAS PLEAD NO CONTEST TO TWO DRUG-RELATED CHARGES IN WASHINGTON COUNTY VIRGINIA CIRCUIT COURT. TONY RICHARDSON ENTERED THE PLEA TO CHARGES THAT HE SOLD AND CONSPIRED TO DISTRIBUTE METHAMPHETAMINE. 14 ADDITIONAL CHARGES ARE PENDING. A NO CONTEST PLEA CARRIES THE SAME CONSEQUENCES AS A GUILTY PLEA, BUT IT DOES NOT INCLUDE AN ADMISSION OF GUILT. RICHARDSON FACES UP TO 80 YEARS BEHIND BARS ON THE TWO CHARGES. HE IS SET TO BE SENTENCED ON JANUARY 14TH, 2009.
