A BRISTOL TENNESSEE MAN CONVICTED OF RAPING HIS FORMER WIFE LAST YEAR HAS BEEN ORDERED TO SERVE TIME IN PRISON. JUDGE ROB MONTGOMERY SENTENCED 48 YEAR OLD DOUG YOUNG TO 22 YEARS IN PRISON. IN SENTENCING YOUNG, THE JUDGE RULED THE ENHANCING PUNISHMENT FACTORS OUTWEIGHED MITIGATING CIRCUMSTANCES. YOUNG WILL HAVE TO SERVE 100 PERCENT OF HIS SENTENCE AND PAY A FINE OF 22-THOUSAND DOLLARS. MEANWHILE, HE FACES A FELONY CHARGE OF FAILING TO APPEAR IN COURT EARLIER, AS WELL AS CHARGES OF AGGRAVATED RAPE, BURGLARY, ASSAULT, AND ESPECIALLY AGGRAVATED KIDNAPPING STEMMING FROM A JANUARY INCIDENT INVOLVING HIS EX-WIFE. THE TWO WERE MARRIED AT THE TIME. YOUNG WILL HAVE TO SERVE 100 PERCENT OF HIS SENTENCE AND PAY A FINE OF 22-THOUSAND DOLLARS.
