A BRISTOL TENNESSEE MAN HAS BEEN ORDERED TO PRISON AFTER BEING CONVICTED OF THE AGGRAVATED RAPE OF HIS NOW EX-WIFE. 48 YEAR OLD DOUG YOUNG MUST SERVE 22 YEARS IN PRISON AFTER BEING SENTENCED BY SULLIVAN COUNTY CIRCUIT COURT JUDGE ROBERT MONTGOMERY. YOUNG NOW FACES A FELONY CHARGE OF FAILING TO APPEAR FOR A COURT HEARING IN JANUARY. HE ALSO FACES MORE CHARGES OF AGGRAVATED RAPE, BURGLARY, ASSAULT, AND ESPECIALLY AGGRAVATED KIDNAPPING STEMMING FROM A JANUARY INCIDENT IN WHICH POLICE ALLEGED HE ABDUCTED HEATHER MOORE. THE TWO WERE MARRIED AT THE TIME OF THE INCIDENT. IN SENTENCING YOUNG, THE JUDGE RULED THAT THE ENHANCING PUNISHMENT FACTORS OUTWEIGHED MITIGATING FACTORS. THE SENTENCING CAME ABOUT ALMOST TWO MONTHS AFTER A JURY CONVICTED YOUNG.
