ELIZABETHTON CITY LEADERS HAVE SIGNED A DEAL TO GET THEIR WATER FROM THE WATAUGA RIVER AUTHORITY. THE AGREEMENT HAS BEEN A LONG TIME COMING AND IS WORTH ABOUT FIVE MILLION DOLLARS. BUT NOT EVERYONE IS HAPPY ABOUT THE CHANGE AND RESIDENTS VOICED THEIR CONCERNS AT A RECENT MEETING. HOWEVER, THE WATER DEAL WAS NARROWLY APPROVED ANYWAY.
