A ROGERSVILLE MAN ACCUSED OF ASSAULTING HIS GRANDMOTHER IS FREE ON BOND. 21 YEAR OLD JAMES JESSEE IS CHARGED WITH TWO COUNTS OF DOMESTIC ASSAULT AND WILLFUL EDLER ABUSE. THE CHARGES STEM FROM TWO SEPERATE INCIDENTS. IN THE FIRST ONE IN AUGUST, HE ALLEGEDLY ENTERED THE HOME OF 70 YEAR OLD LILLIAN OKIEFF ON ROUTE 70 WITHOUT PERMISSION AND DEMANDED MONEY FROM HER. SHE REFUSED AND HE ALLEGEDLY GRABBED HER AND FORCED HER TO WRITE HIM A CHECK. LAST MONTH, HE ALLEGEDLY ENTERED OKIEFF’S HOME ONCE AGAIN DEMANDED MONEY. WHEN SHE REFUSED, HE ALLEGEDLY THREW A PENCIL AT HER. JESSEE IS CURRENTLY FREE ON BOND.
