A FORMER NURSE AT THE VETERAN’S MEDICAL CENTER IN MOUNTAIN HOME WHO ADMITTED TO DIVERTING DRUGS FOR HER PERSONAL USE HAS BEEN ORDERED TO SERVE TIME IN PRISON. 41 YEAR OLD RUTH ANNETTE WILSON OF JONESBORO WAS SENTENCED TO SERVE 12 MONTHS AND ONE DAY IN FEDERAL PRISON AND PLACED ON SUPERVISED RELEASE FOR A PERIOD OF ONE YEAR. THE SENTENCE WAS THE RESULT OF A GUILTY PLEA BY WILSON AFTER SHE WAS CHARGED WITH OBTAINING CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES BY MISREPRESENTATION, FRAUD, FORGERY, AND DECEPTION. WILSON WAS ORDERED TO SURRENDER HER NURSING LICENSE. SHE WAS A LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE WHEN SHE ADMITTED TO TAKING OXYCODONE AND HYDROMORPHINE PRESCRIBED FOR PATIENTS WHO SUFFERED FROM TERMINAL ILLNESSES AND WHO WERE RECUPERATING FROM SURGERY.
