FELONY CHARGES HAVE BEEN FILED AGAINST TWO BRISTOL TENNESEE PEOPLE FOLLOWING AN ALCOHOL-RELATED INCIDENT INVOLVING THREE CHILDREN AT A SULLIVAN COUNTY RESIDENCE. SULIVAN COUNTY DEPUTIES RESPONDED TO FLATWOODS ROAD FOLLOWING A REPORT OF A VEHICLE CRASH WITH INJURIES. DEPUTIES FOUND TWO ADULTS AND THREE CHILDREN ALL OF WHOM WERE TRANSPORTED TO BRISTOL MEMORIAL HOSPITAL. 38 YEAR OLD PAULA ELAINE EVANS WAS STANDING IN THE ROAD PUTTING AS MANY PILLS INTO HER MOUTH AS SHE COULD AND SWALLOWING THEM. ALSO 43 YEAR OLD RANDY LEWIS APPEARED TO BE INTOXICATED AND ADMITTED TO CONSUMING AT LEAST 15 BEERS ALONG WITH LIQUOR. THE CAR CRASH OCCURRED AFTER A TEN YEAR OLD JUVENILE DROVE THE VEHICLE AT THE TIME OF THE CRASH AT A REPORTED 90 MILES PER HOUR. THE VEHICLE WAS FOUND ON ITS TOP. ALL THE JUVENILES WERE TAKEN INTO CUSTODY BY CHILDREN SERVICES. CHARGES AGAINST EVANS AND LEWIS INCLUDE FELONY RECKLESS ENDANGERMENT AND AGGRAVATED CHILD ABUSE/BEGLECT. EVANS REMAINS IN THE HOSPITAL, WHILE LEWIS IS BEING HELD IN THE SULLIVAN COUNTY JAIL UNDER 10-THOUSAND DOLLARS BOND.
