A JOHNSON CITY MAN ACCUSED OF SEVERAL BURGLARIES AT BUSINESSES IN SULLIVAN COUNTY IS BEING HELD ON A 100-THOUSAND DOLLARS BOND. DAVID S. CLARK IS CHARGED WITH THREE COUNTS OF BURGLARY, ONE COUNT OF ATTEMPTED BURGLARY AND THEFT UNDER 500 DOLLARS. HE’S ACCUSED OF BREAKING INTO HICKORTY TREE GROCERY, DANKA BUSINESS SYSTEMS AND JOY MARKET. THESE BUSINESSES ARE LOCATED IN THE PINEY FLATS, BLUFF CITY AND BRISTOL AREAS. CLARK WAS ALREADY ON BOND FOR A BURGLARY THAT OCCURRED AT THE TRI CITY FLEE MARKET, WHERE HE WAS ACCUSED OF BURGLARIZING AN ATM MACHINE. AT THAT TIME, CLARK HAD BEEN ON BOND FROM WASHINGTON COUNTY TENNESSEE WERE HE HAD BEEN HELD ON BURGLARIES AND THEFTS FROM THE JOHNSON CITY AREA. HE REMAINS BEHIND BARS IN SULLIVAN COUNTY.
