THE SOUTHWEST VIRGINIA HIGHER EDUCATION CENTER HAS BROKEN GROUND ON A 3.2 MILLION DOLLAR ADDITION. THE NEW 62-HUNDRED SQUARE FOOT ADDITION WILL ADD MUCH NEEDED CLASSROOM SPACE TO THE FACILITY WHICH IS SITUATED ON THE CAMPUS OF VIRGINIA HIGHLANDS COMMUNITY COLLEGE. THE PROJECT IS BEING PAID FOR WITH FUNDS FROM THE VIRGINIA TOBACCO INDEMNIFICATION AND COMMUNITY REVITALIZATION COMMISSION, APPALACHIAN REGIONAL COMMISSION, AND THE BALANCE FROM THE STATE.
