A MARION VIRGINIA MAN ACCUSED IN THE DEATH OF HIS 11 MONTH OLD DAUGHTER HAS HAD HIS CASE BOUND OVER TO A GRAND JURY. 26 YEAR OLD TRAVIS RAY HESTER WAIVED HIS RIGHT TO A PRELIMINARY HEARING IN SMYTH COUNTY JUVENILE AND DOMESTIC RELATIONS COURT YESTERDAY. HE’S CHARGED WITH FIRST DEGREE MURDER IN THE DEATH OF BELLE HESTER ON JULY 27TH. AUTHORITIES SAID THE CHILD SUFFERED HEAD INJURIES AS THE RESULT OF A SKULL FRACTURE. HESTER FIRST CLAIMED THE CHILD FELL FROM A DECK, BUT LATER ADMITTED TO HIS INVOLVEMENT IN THE KILLING. THE SMYTH COUNTY GRAND JURY WILL MEET AGAIN ON DECEMBER 9TH, BUT THE CASE COULD BE CONSIDERED SOONER THAN THAT.
