CHARGES ARE PENDING FOLLOWING A SINGLE VEHICLE CRASH IN JOHNSON CITY OVER THE WEEKEND THAT LEFT A BRISTOL VIRGINIA MAN AND WOMAN SERIOUSLY INJURED. POLICE SAID JOHNNY FARMER WAS DRIVING HIS MOTORCYCLE ON NORTH ROAN STREET AT SPRINGBROOK DRIVE WHEN HE STRUCK A CONCRETE ISLAND AT THE INTERSECTION. THE MOTORCYCLE WENT AIRBORNE FOR ABOUT 30 FEET AND THEN SLID FOR ABOUT 130 FEET BEFORE COMING TO REST. A PASSENGER ON THE MOTORCYCLE, LOLA FARMER, IS LISTED IN CRITICAL CONDITION WHILE JOHNNY FARMER IS STABLE. THE INVESTIGATION IS CONTINUING BY THE TRAFFIC HOMICIDE TEAM AND CHARGES COULD BE FORTHCOMING.
