A VERDICT COULD COME SOMETIME TODAY IN THE SULLIVAN COUNTY TRIAL OF A MAN ALREADY CONVICTED OF ONE MURDER AND WHO’S ACCUSED OF KILLING A BRISTOL TENNESSEE MAN NEARLY SIX YEARS AGO. JOEY GOINS IS CHARGED WITH FIRST DEGREE MURDER IN THE KILLING OF 51 YEAR OLD TERRY RHYMER. HIS FORMER CO-DEFENDANT, JUSTIN JONES, TESTIFIED EARLIER THIS WEEK ABOUT WATCHING GOINS STRIKE RHYMER WITH A HAMMER AND THEN SLIT HIS THROAT. GOINS REACHED A PLEA DEAL WITH PROSECUTORS IN EXCHANGE FOR HIS TESTIMONY. GOINS IS ALREADY SERVING A LIFE SENTENCE IN THE KILLING OF ETSU STUDENT JAMES NORWOOD WHO WAS CARJACKED FROM CAMPUS IN 2002.
