A BRISTOL VIRGINIA MAN ACCUSED OF KILLING HIS ESTRANGED WIFE AND HER CO-WORKER HAS ADMITTED TO A LESSER CHARGE IN ORDER TO AVOID THE DEATH PENALTY. 37 YEAR OLD CARL DAVID RAY WAS FACING CAPITAL MURDER CHARGES IN THE KILLINGS OF TRACY RAY AND RANDALL O’QUINN BUT PLED GUILTY TO TWO COUNTS OF FIRST DEGREE MURDER AND WAS ORDERED TO SPEND CONSECUTIVE LIFE SENTENCES IN PRISON WITHOUT THE POSSIBILITY OF PAROLE. TRACY RAY AND O’QUINN BOTH WORKED AT DANA CORPORATION IN BRISTOL WHEN THEY WERE GUNNED DOWN IN THE PARKING LOT OF THE PLANT ON DECEMBER 8TH, 2006. RAY ALSO RECEIVED AN ADDITIONAL SIX YEARS IN PRISON FOR TWO CHARGES OF USE OF A FIREARM IN THE COMMISSION OF A FELONY.
