THINGS ARE BACK TO NORMAL AT PATRICK HENRY HIGH SCHOOL IN WASHINGTON COUNTY VIRGINIA AFTER A GUN EXCHANGE OCCURRED BETWEEN TWO STUDENTS. SCHOOL RESOURCE OFFICERS AND SCHOOL ADMINISTRATORS ARE STILL INVESTIGATING THE MATTER. SCHOOL OFFICIALS HAVE SAID THE GUN WAS NOT LOADED AND WAS NOT A PART OF ANY KNOWN THREAT AT THE SCHOOL. HAVING A FIREARM ON SCHOOL PROPERTY IS A CLASS ONE MISDEMEANOR IN VIRGINIA, PUNISHABLE BY UP TO A YEAR IN JAIL AND A FINE OF 25-HUNDRED DOLLARS.
