A HAWKINS COUNTY WOMAN ACCUSED OF TAKING MORE THAN 100-THOUSAND DOLLARS FROM A FEDERAL CREDIT UNION HAS ADMITTED TO THE CRIME IN U.S. DISTRICT COURT IN GREENEVILLE. TRENA BLEDSOE PLED GUILTY TO FEDERAL EMBEZZLEMENT. SHE WAS ACCUSED OF BILKING OVER 105-THOUSAND DOLLARS FROM SEVERAL ACCOUNTS WHILE WORKING AT THE ROGERSVILLE BRANCH OF APPALACHIAN COMMUNITY FEDERAL CREDIT UNION BETWEEN APRIL 2006 AND AUGUST 2007. IN MARCH, SHE FILED FOR CHAPTER SEVEN BANKRUPTCY PROTECTION, BUT FAILED TO ACCURATELY FILL OUT THE STATEMENT OF FINANICIAL AFFAIRS REGARDING HER INCOME. SHE REMAINS FREE ON HER OWN RECOGNIZANCE AND WILL BE SENTENCED AT A LATER DATE.
