A CARTER COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPUTY WHO WAS SHOT IN THE LINE OF DUTY RECENTLY IS IMPROVING BUT REMAINS IN SERIOUS CONDITION AT A LOCAL HOSPITAL. STEPHANIE SIMPSON WAS SHOT IN THE FACE BY A SUSPECT WITH A .308 RIFLE WHILE INTERVENING BETWEEN NEIGHBORS OVER A PROPERTY DISPUTE. SIMPSON HAS UNDERGONE SEVERAL EXTENSIVE SURGERIES BUT SHE AND HER FAMILY ARE GRATEFUL FOR THE CONTINOUS PRAYERS, CARDS, CALLS AND MONETARY SUPPORT THAT HAS BEEN SHOWN TO THEM. SIMPSON WILL BE OUT OF WORK FOR A LONG TIME WHILE UNDERGOING ADDITIONAL SURGERIES AND REHABILITATION. AN ACCOUNT HAS BEEN SETUP TO AID WITH HER PERSONAL EXPENSES AND NEEDS. YOU CAN MAKE DONATIONS TO THE STEPHANIE SIMPSON FUND, IN CARE OF BANK OF TENNESSEE/MED TECH OR CARTER COUNTY BANK.
