CHARGES ARE PENDING AGAINST A CARTER COUNTY STUDENT AFTER HE BROUGHT AT KNIFE TO SCHOOL. THE SHERIFF’S OFFICE SAID THE KNIFE WAS FOUND ON AN 8TH GRADER AT UNAKA ELEMENTARY SCHOOL. ANOTHER STUDENT WAS THE ONE WHO SPOTTED THE WEAPON AND TOLD A TEACHER. NO ONE WAS THREATENED OR HURT. THE SCHOOL SYSTEM IS EXPECTED TO DECIDE WHAT PUNISHMENT WILL BE GIVEN TO THE STUDENT.
