BEARD CLAIMS HE WAS ACTING IN SELF-DEFENSE WHEN HE STEPPED OUT ON THE FRONT PORCH OF HIS LEE APARTMENT AUGUST 15TH TO CONFRONT SHAMARKUS MASON WHO HE CLAIMS SHOT AT HIM FIRST.
