AN EXTENSIVE AUTOPSY IS BEING CONDUCTED TO DETERMINE HOW AN 11 MONTH OLD SMYTH COUNTY VIRGINIA GIRL WAS KILLED. 26 YEAR OLD TRAVIS HESTER IS CHARGED WITH FIRST-DEGREE MURDER IN THE DEATH OF BELLE HESTER. HE CLAIMS ON JULY 26TH, HE DROPPED THE LITTLE GIRL FROM A DECK TO A GRASSY AREA, BUT A MEDICAL EXAMINER SAID THE INJURIES WEREN’T CONSISTANT WITH THE FATHER’S STORY. THE CHILD SUFFERED EXTENSIVE HEAD INJURIES AND LATER DIED AT ROANOKE MEMORIAL HOSPITAL. AN EXTENSIVE AUTOPSY WILL HOPEFULLY HELP DETERMINE EXACTLY WHAT TOOK PLACE. HESTER REMAINS BEHIND BARS WITHOUT BOND. HE WILL APPEAR IN SMYTH COUNTY JUVENILE AND DOMESTIC RELATIONS COURT SPETEMBER 24TH.
