TWO MEN WHO HAD OVER 100-THOUSAND DOLLARS IN CASH IN THEIR VEHICLE ARE BELEIVED TO HAVE BEEN PLANNING TO BUY DRUGS BUT INSTEAD HAVE TAKEN UP RESIDENCY IN THE KINGSPORT CITY JAIL. CORPORAL TIM HORNE STOPPED THE MEN ON INTERSTATE 81 FOR IMPROPER PASSING. 110-THOUSAND DOLLARS WAS SEIZED AFTER BEING FOUND IN A BAG INSIDE THEIR CHEVROLET CONVERSION VAN. AUTHORITIES SAID ITS COMMON KNOWLEDGE THAT MONEY MOVES SOUTH AND DOPE MOVES NORTH BECAUSE DRUG DEALERS GO SOUTH TO BUY DRUGS CHEAP AND THEN HEAD NORTH TO MAKE A PROFIT. THE TENNESSEE HIGHWAY PATROL’S INTERDICTION PLUS TEAM IS ALSO INVESTIGATING THIS CASE. AUTHORITIES HAVEN’T RELEASED THE MEN’S IDENTITIES OR ANY CHARGES THEY FACE. THE INVESTIGATION IS CONTINUING.
