NO CHARGES WILL BE FILED AFTER A WOMAN WAS STRUCK BY A TRUCK DURING THE CLOSING EVENTS OF THE FOOD CITY FAMILY RACE NIGHT IN BRISTOL. ACCORDING TO THE BRISTOL VIRGINIA POLICE DEPARTMENT, 40 YEAR OLD DEBORAH SUE DANIELS OF BRISTOL TENNESSEE WAS INJURED WHEN SHE KNELT DOWN WORKING ON A TENT NEAR THE FRONT END OF A 2004 FREIGHTLINER THAT WAS ATTEMPTING TO HOOK TO A TRAILER IN THE 500 BLOCK OF STATE STREET. DANIELS WAS EVIDENTLY IN A BLIND SPOT OF THE DRIVER OF THE TRUCK, GREGORY HUNCHUCK OF HARRISBURG NORTH CAROLINA. AS HUNCHUCK MANEUVERED THE TRUCK TO CONNECT TO THE TRAILER, HE PULLED FORWARD STRIKING DANIELS AND PUSHING HER UNDER THE FRONT OF THE TRUCK. DANIELS WAS TAKEN TO A LOCAL HOSPITAL WHERE THE EXTENT OF HER INJURIES ARE UNKNOWN. THE INCIDENT APPEARS TO BE PURELY ACCIDENTIAL.
