A WOMAN ACCUSED OF HER PART IN A HIT AND RUN ACCIDENT THAT LEFT A JOHNSON CITY POLICE OFFICER INJURED HAS HAD HER CASE BOUND OVER TO A WASHINGTON COUNTY TENNESSEE GRAND JURY. 45 YEAR OLD CONNIE ROGERS IS CHARGED WITH ACCESSORY AFTER THE FACT OF ATTEMPTED FIRST DEGREE MURDER. MEANWHILE, HER BROTHER, 40 YEAR OLD DEARL ROGERS IS CHARGED WITH ATTEMPTED FIRST DEGREE MURDER AND RECKLESS ENDANGERMENT. HE WAS SCHEDULED TO APPEAR YESTERDAY AS WELL, BUT HIS CASE WAS RESET BECAUSE HIS ATTORNEY NEEDED TIME TO SUBPOENA A WITNESS. THE CHARGES STEM FROM AN AUGUST 9TH INCIDENT IN WHICH DEARL WAS DRIVING A CAR THE TWO WERE IN THAT RAN DOWN OFFICER JAVIER MATA WHILE LEAVING A DOWNTOWN BAR. MATA SUFFERED A FRACTURED SKULL, A BROKEN COLLARBONE, BRUISES, AND SCRAPES. BOTH ARE BEING HELD ON BOND.
