MARCUS DOVER OF CHATTANOOGA AND KRYSTAL DAVIS OF JOHNSON CITY HAVE BEEN CHARGED WITH FOUR COUNTS OF THEFT OF PROPERTY OVER A THOUSAND DOLLARS, 19 COUNTS OF THEFT OF PROPERTY OVER 500 AND 19 COUNTS OF THEFT OF PROPERTY UNDER 500 DOLLARS. THE CHARGES STEM FROM AN ONGOING INVESTIGATION INTO 19 REPORTED OCCURRENCES OF CATALYTIC CONVERTERS BEING STOLEN IN THE JOHNSON CITY AREA INVOLVING 27 VEHICLES. DOVER AND DAVIS ARE BEING HELD ON A 76-THOUSAND DOLLARS BOND EACH. A HEARING IS SET FOR THE PAIR AUGUST 18TH IN GENERAL SESSIONS COURT IN JOHNSON CITY. THE INVESTIGATION IS CONTINUING AND MORE CHARGES ARE POSSIBLE.
