A LONG-TIME TRI CITIES DETENTION OFFICER FACING NUMEROUS FELONY CHARGES WILL APPEAR IN COURT AGAIN NEXT MONTH. TIMOTHY CRAIN, A JAILER IN WASHINGTON COUNTY TENNESSEE, WAS TERMINATED AFTER BEING CHARGED WITH EIGHT FELONY CHARGES INVOLVING OFFICIAL MISCONDUCT. AMONG THE ACCUSATIONS ARE THAT CRAIN ACCEPTED MONEY FOR PURCHASING TOBACCO FOR AN INMATE. THE PRACTICE HAD REPORTEDLY BE ONGOING SINCE DECEMBER 2007. CRAIN HAD WORKED FOR THE SHERIFF’S OFFICE SINCE 2001. HE IS SCHEDULED TO APPEAR IN WASHINGTON COUNTY CRIMINAL COURT ON SEPTEMBER 22ND.
