A FEDERAL PRISON IN LEE COUNTY VIRGINIA IS ON LOCKDOWN TODAY. LAST NIGHT, AN INCIDENT INVOLVING APPROXIMATELY 20 INMATES FORCED OFFICALS TO TAKE ACTION. PRISON SPOKESMAN TODD SLOOP SAID DETAILS ABOUT THE INCIDENT ARE NOT BEING RELEASED UNTIL AN INVESTIGATION HAS BEEN COMPLETED. NO STAFF MEMBERS WERE INJURED, BUT SEVERAL INMATES WERE TREATED FOR MINOR INJURIES. SLOOP SAID THE FACILITY WILL REMAIN ON LOCKDOWN UNTIL IT IS DEEMED SAFE FOR STAFF AND INMATES.
