THE OWNER OF A KINGSPORT GOLF STORE IS IN TROUBLE AFTER ALLEGEDLY STEALING OVER 45-THOUSAND DOLLARS FROM A LOCAL INVESTOR. A SULLIVAN COUNTY GRAND JURY INDICTED 56 YEAR OLD RICHARD KILGORE, OWNER OF K&G GOLF ON A CHARGE OF THEFT OVER TEN THOUSAND FOLLOWING AN INVESTIGATION BY THE TBI. KILGORE ALLEGEDLY SHOWED EDWIN DOBBS A BOGUS BUSINESS PLAN. THE FUNDS HE RECEIVED FROM DOBBS WERE SUPPOSE TO HELP HIM START UP A BUSINESS INVOLVING THE PURCHASE AND RESALE OF GOLFING EQUIPMENT. IT’S ALLEGED THE PLAN WAS A SHAM FROM THE GET-GO. DISTRICT ATTORNEY GENERAL GREELEY WELLS IS ASKING IF ANYONE ELSE WHO GAVE KILGORE MONEY FOR THE PHONY BUSINESS DEAL. KILGORE IS FREE ON A 30-THOUSAND DOLLARS BOND. HE WILL APPEAR IN SULLIVAN COUNTY CRIMINAL COURT ON AUGUST 15TH.
