DELFASCO, A COMPANY THAT MANUFACTURES METAL FABRICATED PRODUCTS, FILED FOR CHAPTER 11 BANKRUPTCY PROTECTION AFTER BEING INFORMED JULY 1ST BY THE U.S. ENVIRONMENTAL AND PROTECTION AGENCY THAT IT WOULD BE FORCED TO CLEAN UP A PIECE OF PROPERTY OWNED BY THE COMPANY IN GRAND PRAIRIE TEXAS. MARK BENKO, GENERAL MANAGER OF THE GREENEVILLE PLANT, SAID THE COMPANY’S EMPLOYEES WILL NOT BE AFFECTED BY THE ENVIRONMENTAL DISPUTE OR THE FILE FOR BANKRUPTCY. HE WENT ON TO SAY THE ACTION BY THE EPA HAS MILLIONS UPON MILLIONS OF DOLLARS OF IMPLICATIONS FOR THE COMPANY.
