A FORMER COEBURN VIRGINIA VOLUNTEER FIREFIGHTER ACCUSED OF SETTING FIRE TO A SOUTHWEST VIRGINIA LANDMARK IN WISE COUNTY LAST YEAR HAS HAD HIS TRIAL DATE RESET IN U.S. DISTRICT COURT IN ABINGDON. 22 YEAR OLD NICHOLAS OWENS IS CHARGED WITH ARSON ON FEDERAL GOVERNMENT LAND. HE’S ACCUSED OF SETTING FIRE TO THE HIGH KNOB OBSERVATION TOWER. HIS TRIAL WAS SET TO BEGIN YESTERDAY, BUT WAS POSTPONED UNTIL OCTOBER 8TH. HIS ALLEGED ACCOMPLICE, CHRISTOPHER HYATT HAS ALREADY PLED GUILTY TO FEDERAL ARSON CHARGES IN FEDERAL COURT, BUT IS AWAITING SENTENCING.
