A WASHINGTON COUNTY TENNESSEE MAN ACCUSED OF RAPING TWO YOUNG GIRLS HAS HAD HIS CASE BOUND OVER TO A GRAND JURY. 37 YEAR OLD ARTHUR DAVIS IS CHARGED WITH 20 COUNTS OF RAPE OF A CHILD AND THREE COUNTS OF AGGRAVATED SEXUAL BATTERY. THE CHARGES STEM FROM ALLEGATIONS RECEIVED FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF CHILDREN’S SERVICES. DAVIS ALLEGEDLY CONFESSED TO HAVING INAPPROPRIATE CONTACT WITH BOTH GIRLS. A MENTAL EVALUATION DEEMED HIM COMPETANT TO STAND TRIAL AND DIDN’T LACK THE CAPACITY TO ACT INTENTIONALLY. HE REMAINS JAILED ON ONE MILLION DOLLARS BOND.
