CHARGES HAVE BEEN DROPPED AGAINST TWO UNICOI COUNTY MEN ACCUSED IN THE DRUG OVERDOSE DEATH OF A COUNTY WOMAN. 49 YEAR OLD RANDY MARTIN AND 50 YEAR OLD FRANKLIN NELSON HAD BEEN CHARGED WITH CRIMINALLY NEGLIGENT HOMICIDE IN THE DEATH OF 39 YEAR OLD DENISE WILLIS. THEY WERE ALLEGED TO HAVE NOT TAKEN THE NECESSARY STEPS TO TRY TO SAVE THE WOMAN. A JUDGE DIMISSED THEIR CHARGES YESTERDAY AFTER AUTOPSY RESULTS WERE REVIEWED. THE REPORT REVEALED CONCENTRATED LEVELS OF MORPHINE. MEANWHILE, 31 YEAR OLD ALICIA SILVERS IS CURRENTLY CHARGED WITH CASUAL EXCHANGE, BUT SHERIFF KENT HARRIS SAID HE PLANS TO SEEK A SECOND DEGREE MURDER INDICTMENT AGAINST SILVERS. SHE ALLEGEDLY CONFESSED TO GIVING WILLIS TWO MORPHINE PILLS.
