Jul 16, 2008

A JOHNSON CITY RESTAURANT HAS ABRUPTLY CLOSED IT’S DOORS FOR GOOD LEAVING EMPLOYEES WITHOUT A JOB. CUSTOMERS WHO SHOWED UP AT THE LONE STAR STEAKHOUSE AND SALOON ON NORTH ROAN STREET FOUND A NOTE POSTED ON THE DOOR REFERRING THEM TO THE COMPANY’S ELIZABETHTON RESTAURANT AND SAID MANY OF THE JOHNSON CITY STAFF MEMBERS WOULD BE TRANSFERRED THERE. ONE EMPLOYEE SAID HE WAS TOLD TO CLEAN THE PLACE UP GOOD THE NIGHT BEFORE BECAUSE THE OWNERS WERE COMING INTO TOWN, BUT WHEN HE SHOWED UP TO WORK THE NEXT DAY, IT WAS CLOSED. COMPANY OFFICIALS HAVE REPORTEDLY SAID THEY WILL OFFER EMPLOYEES A SEVERANCE PACKAGE.
