CHARGES HAVE BEEN DROPPED AGAINST A JOHNSON CITY MAN ACCUSED OF ASSAULTING HIS GIRLFRIEND AND DAUGHTER AND HOLDING THEM AGAINST THEIR WILL. 36 YEAR OLD KIRBY GILLIS HAD BEEN CHARGED WITH THREE COUNTS OF AGGRAVATED KIDNAPPING AND TWO COUNTS OF DOMESTIC ASSAULT. PRISCILLA GREEN TOLD POLICE, THAT DURING AN ARGUMENT, GILLIS BECAME ANGRY AND CHOKED HER AND THEN WOULDN’T LET SHE AND HER DAUGHTER LEAVE. HOWEVER, WHEN SHE TOOK THE STAND YESTERDAY, GREEN TESTIFIED THE ASSAULT NEVER HAPPENED. WASHINGTON COUNTY SESSIONS COURT JUDGE JAMES NIDIFFER DETERMINED THERE WAS NO PROBABLE CAUSE TO HOLD GILLIS AND ORDERED HIM RELEASED FROM JAIL.
