A ROGERSVILLE MAIL CARRIER ACCUSED OF TRYING TO KILL HER HUSBAND HAS HAD HER PRELIMINARY HEARING DATE RESET. 37 YEAR OLD TRACY JOHNSON IS CHARGED WITH ATTEMPTED FIRST DEGREE MURDER IN THE SHOOTING OF 33 YEAR OLD NORMAN JOHNSON. THE VICTIM WAS SHOT IN THE FACE WHILE SLEEPING LAST MONTH. SHE WAS SCHEDULED TO APPEAR IN HAWKINS COUNTY GENERAL SESSIONS COURT YESTERDAY FOR A PRELIMINARY HEARING, HOWEVER, DEFENSE ATTORNEY RICK SPIVEY, WAS IN A TRAIL ELSEWHERE AND COULDN’T ATTEND. AS A RESULT, THE JUDGE RESET HER COURT APPEARANCE TO AUGUST 4TH. JOHNSON IS CURRENTLY FREE ON 100-THOUSAND DOLLARS BOND.
