VOTERS IN CHURCH HILL HAVE CHOSEN THE CITY’S NEXT MAYOR. INCUMBENT MAYOR DENNIS DEAL WON BY AN OVERWHELMING MARGAIN AGAINST WRTE-IN CANDIDATE LEONARD MOORE. THIS WILL MARK DEAL’S THIRD TERM AS MAYOR. MEANWHILE, THERE WERE THREE CANDIDATES FOR THE THREE CONTESTED ALDERMAN SEATS. INCUMBENT LINDA MILLER RECEIVED THE MOST VOTES FOLLOWED BY INCUMBENT GREGORY TIPTON. NEWCOMER WILLIAM KILLEN WAS SELECTED TO TAKE A SEAT VACATED BY ALDERMAN RAYBURN THACKER WHO OPTED NOT TO SEEK RE-ELECTION.
