A METH LAB EXPLOSION IN HAWKINS COUNTY HAS LEFT A WOMAN SEVERELY INJURED AND HER HUSBAND FACING DRUG CHARGES. 31 YEAR OLD JAMES MCKEEL OF ROGERSVILLE IS CHARGED WITH MANUFACTURING METHAMPHETAMINE, FELONY POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA, DESTRUCTION OF EVIDENCE, AND MANUFACTURING MARIJUANA. ACCORDING TO INVESTIGATORS WITH THE HAWKINS COUNTY SHERIFFS OFFICE, MCKEEL BROUGHT HIS WIFE TO HAWKINS COUNTY MEMORIAL HOSPITAL EMERGENCY ROOM SATURDAY NIGHT AFTER A METH LAB OUTSIDE THEIR HOME EXPLODED. THE VICTIM IS CURRENTLY LISTED IN STABLE CONDITION AND HAS BEEN MOVED TO VANDERBILT UNIVERSITY MEDICAL CENTER. JAMES MCKEEL IS CURRENTLY BEING HELD IN THE HAWKINS COUNTY JAIL ON 50-THOUSAND DOLLARS BOND.
