AWARD-WINNING WATER QUALITY IN THE TRI CITIES. THE CITY OF BRISTOL TENNESSEE HAS MAILED OUT A COPY OF THE 2008 WATER QUALITY REPORT TO ITS CUSTOMERS. AND DAVID ST. JOHN, WATER FILTRATION PLANT SUPERINTENDENT, SAYS THE NEWS IS ALL GOOD. THE REPORT IS THE RESULT OF MORE THAN 2-THOUSAND TESTS. IT FOUND THAT BRISTOL’S WATER IS ABOUT TEN TIMES CLEANER THAN REQUIREMENTS FROM THE STATE OF TENNESSEE AND THE ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY. THE WATER QUALITY REPORT INCLUDES RESULTS FROM THE TESTS AND ANSWERS TO FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS. COPIES OF THE REPORT ARE AVAILABLE AT THE CHAMBER OR COMMERCE OFFICE AND ALSO AT THE BRISTOL PUBLIC LIBRARY. IN JULY, WATER OFFICIALS WILL GO TO KNOXVILLE TO RECEIVE AN AWARD FOR HAVING THE 2008 WATER PLANT OF THE YEAR IN THE STATE OF TENNESSEE.
