A Clinchco Virginia man who ran an identity theft scheme from prison will spend another seven years behind bars. The U.S. Attorney’s Office says 32-year-old Dewayne Gilmore was sentenced yesterday to 85 months for conspiracy to commit identity theft and two counts of aggravated identity theft. He also must pay restitution of more than $77,000. Prosecutors say 25-year-old Nicole Hymon stole personal information of customers at the Richmond mortgage company where she worked and gave it to Gilmore so he could obtain credit cards. They bought electronics, appliances and other items with the credit cards, sold them and split the profit. Hymon was sentenced June 10 to one year on a conspiracy charge and a consecutive term of two years for aggravated identity theft.
