THE MOTHER OF A DALLAS COWBOY FOOTBALL PLAYER AND AN ELIZABETHTON HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL COACH WILL BE IN JAIL FOR ONLY A BRIEF TIME. 40 YEAR OLD KIMBERLY WITTEN BARNETT, THE MOTHER OF COWBOY’S TIGHT END JASON WITTEN AND ELIZABETHTON HIGH SCHOOL HEAD FOOTBALL COACH SHAWN WITTEN, WAS SENTENCED TO 30 DAYS IN THE CARTER COUNTY JAIL. SHE WAS CONVICTED OF 25 COUNTS OF FORGERY AND ONE COUNT OF THEFT UNDER ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS. THE CHARGES AGAINST WITTEN STEM FROM THE THEFT OF OVER 54-HUNDRED DOLLARS FROM THE BANK ACCOUNT OF ANOTHER WOMAN. IN ADDITION TO THE JAIL SENTENCE, JUDGE LYNN BROWN ORDERED HER TO PERFORM 30 DAYS OF COMMUNITY SERVICE AND PLACED HER ON PROBATION FOR FOUR YEARS. WITTEN SAID SHE TOOK THE MONEY TO GET THE LAST OF HER CHILDREN THROUGH COLLEGE.
