FOUR SOUTHWEST VIRGINIA PEOPLE HAVE BEEN SENTENCED IN U.S. DISTRICT COURT IN ABINGDON FOR THEIR ROLE IN AN ARSON-FOR-PROFIT SCHEME. PROSECUTORS SAID PATSY GRAHAM, CONSPIRED WITH KEVIN MILLER, MARI CLONCE MILLER AND ROBERT SCOTT TO DESTROY HER NORTON HOME AND COLLECT THE INSURANCE MONEY. GRAHAM OFFERED TO PAY 20-THOUSAND DOLLARS FOR THE ARSON. THE FOUR REMOVED NUMEROUS VALUABLE ITEMS FROM THE HOME PRIOR TO THE FIRE. SOME WERE SOLD AND THE REMAINING ITEMS WERE RECOVERED FOUR YEARS AFTER THE BLAZE. THE FOUR RECEIVED FEDERAL PRISON SENTENCES RANGING FROM 36 MONTHS TO 57 MONTHS.
