The wild chase of a stolen pickup truck in northeast Tennessee resulted in the capture of the suspect, but also damaged four of Rogersville’s six city police cars. Police pursued 19-year-old David Lee Foster of Sneedville because a woman and her two young daughters were also in the speeding truck. They were not hurt, although police said Foster used the truck to ram police cars and was driving the wrong way on Highway 11-W for a while, forcing other drivers to swerve out of his way. The woman, Kasey Fox of Tazewell, called 911 during the pursuit and was heard by dispatchers begging Foster to stop. Her daughters are 8 and 9 years old. Authorities said a dozen police cars chased Foster after a Bean Station officer spotted him in the stolen truck Tuesday afternoon. He faces a host of charges and more are pending in Hawkins, Jefferson and Grainger counties.
